“We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give.”

On #givingtuesday, I extended a $100 gift to each of my employees to be donated to their charity of choice.  They loved this idea and the opportunity to support a cause close to their heart.  It got me thinking.  Giving back is so important to me.  How could we make an impact on various Baltimore charities/non-profits throughout the entire year and not just on one day?  And so, I decided to ask each employee of the agency to find a cause they wanted to support and each month we will be sharing our experiences.

The Ulman Foundation was the first charity we supported.  Today cancer is the leading disease killer among 20 to 39 year-olds.  The Ulman Foundation fills the voids in young adult cancer care.  Specifically, they recognized the void for young people traveling to Baltimore to seek treatment from some of the country’s best hospitals.  Ulman House opened in the Winter of 2019 to provide free lodging for young adult cancer patients and their caregivers in East Baltimore.  The House is 12,000 square feet renovated to create a home away from home for young adult cancer patients.  The best part – staying at the Home is totally free!  On April 12th, The Lisa Vogel Agency provided lunch for the residents staying at Ulman House.  We were able to tour the House, meet employees of the Foundation, and spend time getting to know and share a meal with the house residents.  For more information or to get involved, please visit

Be sure and check back to see which charity we support next!
