An Experienced Team for Your Family's Well Being

The Lisa Vogel Agency is a partner in the care of your family member. In addition to the professionalism and experience each member of the agency contributes, they also bring a genuine care and compassion for the client.

Lisa Vogel

Lisa Vogel launched her own health care firm through a national franchise in 2008. Her dedication to providing the highest quality care was quickly evidenced by the rapid growth of the business and several national and regional awards, including National Franchise of the Year in 2010. To better serve the diverse needs of her expanding client base in the Baltimore area, Lisa relaunched the business as a small, privately-owned company in 2012.

Lisa appreciates family. Visiting her grandparents in nursing homes as a child, and seeing how lonely they seemed, inspired her to offer better care options for seniors. She understands what their family members are going through and how important it is for them to maintain balance in their personal lives. That’s why she is so committed to providing accessible, compassionate, professional care to her clients. It’s this compassion and concern that is the driving force behind The Lisa Vogel Agency.

Lisa has always had a passion for charity work and helping others which led her to become extremely involved with volunteering and raising funds for several charities and non-profits benefitting women and children in Baltimore. In addition, Lisa encourages her staff to organize monthly volunteer days to serve those in need in the community. Above all, Lisa enjoys spending time with her husband, Brandon, sons, Bode and Reed, step-daughters, Stella and Poppy, and their Micro-Bernedoodle, Ziggy.

Jonathan Goldman

Director of Operations

Jonathan Goldman, a graduate of Gettysburg College, has years of experience in both business and finance. After college, Jonathan worked as a consultant for a payments consulting firm focusing primarily on strategic sourcing. Jonathan joined LVA in 2013 and handles all agency strategic planning, invoicing, payroll, collections, financials, as well as helping patients navigate long-term care insurance policies and claims.

He takes pride in helping clients and their families navigate the unique landscape of home care and shares his sister Lisa’s commitment to excellent customer service. Jonathan loves how the agency feels like a true family business in that all members of the office and care staffs are very close-knit and have great working relationships.

Outside of work, Jonathan stays active by taking hiking trips, doing anything competitive, and spending time with his wife, Taylor, sons, Jack & Grant, daughter, Blair, and Rottweiler, Marlo. When he’s not on the trail, you can find him cheering on his hometown teams, the Orioles and the Ravens.

Timothy S. Bayer

Director of Nursing

Tim Bayer has been helping others since he was in high school, when he worked at an assisted living and hospice facility. That caring spirit carried through to college, where he studied psychology and began working as a counselor in a residential rehabilitation facility for adults with psychiatric diagnoses. In 2002, Tim began working as a psychiatric technician at Sheppard Pratt Health System, spending time in various units, including the Geropsychiatric and Geriatric Neuro Units. He ultimately chose to work with adult patients with trauma disorders. Inspired by the work and encouragement of those around him, Tim chose to pursue a nursing degree and graduated from the University of Maryland School of Nursing in 2012.

When Tim saw the care and time everyone at The Lisa Vogel Agency put in to meeting the needs of clients, he knew it was a place people could trust.

Tim, who has been working as a registered nurse with the agency since 2014, hopes that his easy-going nature relaxes patients. “I want clients to feel at ease when I come to their home,” he said.

Marjorie Schmier

Registered Nurse

Marjorie Schmier first thought about nursing when she was 3 years old, and has now been a Registered Nurse for 43 years. In her role at The Lisa Vogel Agency, Marjorie performs in-home assessments of the patient to determine their needs and what care coordination services will best benefit them. Marjorie is an advocate for her patients and cares about their physical health as well as their psychological health and their safety.

It’s important to Marjorie that patients know she cares about them, so she offers a smile, a handshake or a friendly touch.

Marjorie enjoys the care coordination aspect of being an RN and is happy to be working at an agency that’s well-respected in the community. She truly enjoys every aspect of her job.

Amanda Tran

Director of Employee Engagement

Amanda Tran joined the Lisa Vogel Agency in 2018, after graduating from Stevenson University. Her interest in home care began after taking a class focused on Healthcare Management. Earning her degree in human services, she was able to hone this interest and develop the necessary skills to pursue a career in the health care field.

Over the years, Amanda has been responsible for both scheduling and recruiting for the agency. This allowed her to build a great rapport with our staff. Now, she is able to utilize this understanding of the agency and industry in order to directly support our caregivers and ensure they feel valued. We at LVA strongly believe that a positive work environment is beneficial to both the employees and the clients.

When she’s not in the office, you can find Amanda trying out new restaurants around town with her husband, having fun with her four cats or planning her next travel destination!

Miracle Murphy

Scheduling Manager

Miracle Murphy joined LVA as the Scheduling Manager in the Spring of 2023. After obtaining a degree in business management and communications, Miracle began her career in home care. During this time, she has gained valuable industry experience and a great understanding of the various roles within the agency office. At LVA, Miracle ensures our employees are working their desired schedules and all patients have full coverage based on their needs. She takes time to get to know the caregivers so she can assist in making the perfect patient/caregiver match!

Miracle’s passion for elder care stems from observing the mistreatment of her grandparents while they were in facilities over the years. She believes that keeping seniors at home while providing quality care allows them and their loved ones to have a sense of peace and comfort that she and her family did not experience.

When Miracle is not in the office, she is taking road trips, traveling, watching movies with her son (Tristan), cooking, and shopping…a lot!

Messeya Marshall

Office Support Manager

Rose Wilson

After-Hours Support Manager

Rose Wilson has spent the last 30 years of her career in healthcare. In elementary school, while visiting a facility that served those with developmental disabilities, Rose discovered her passion for caring for others. The opportunity to be of service, and spread love and joy was something that she would always pursue. In high school, Rose volunteered as a Candy Striper at the V.A hospital where she especially enjoyed transporting and reading to patients. Early in her career, she became a trained direct support professional, teaching residents life skills that would prepare them for independent living.

It was not until her grandmother became ill, spending the last 6 months of her life in a nursing facility that Rose decided to dedicate her life to serving the elderly. With a strong desire to provide residents with the highest quality of care while maintaining their dignity, Rose became a Certified Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) to do just that.

Rose brings over 20 years of experience as a GNA and Nursing Coordinator to the Lisa Vogel Agency. She continues to work at several nursing facilities as a GNA, which she loves most. In her spare time, she enjoys quality time with family, reading, watching a good movie, event planning, balloon art, and vacationing.
